Review of final piece

Review of my Final Piece...

For my final peice i was origionally going to freeze frame individual shot of a person diving into a pool. I was then going to make a flick book so it would look like she was diving into the pool but in stil shots. However i changed this idea. I have no produced some short animation clips of someone diving into the water. I have slowed the speed down and then made it so she will dive into the pool and then come back out of the pool in reverse. Along with these videos i have produced some still shots as well which i have edited on photoshop and printed and laminated onto A4 sheets. Overall i am pleased with the short film clips that i have produced, however i would of liked to have experimented with photoshop on the films to see if i could change the colours and contrast. The stil shots are not to the quality i would of liked them but it is difficult as i don't have provesional underwater equiptment. If i were to do these photos again i would put some more make-up on my models and have some more shots ofthem close up to the camera.

Final Still images

These are my final photos for my project. I think the contrast in between the dark dress's and hair colour and the blue water is quite defined and creates an interesting effect. The quality of the photos are not great but this is partially because they are underwater. I tried to change the contrast of them changing the brightness and the contrast to make them more asthetically pleasing.
I really like this photo because of the pose of the model. The dress creates a strong contrast

Review Experimentations

Reviwing my experimentation photos...

I think my experimentation photos were very helpful in my project. I found out that it might be quite hard to do fashion photography underwater as the quality of the photos are not very good. They don't have a very strong depth of field because they are not in focus. I liked the idea of someone diving into the pool and maybe slowing this down to create an interesting effect. I used a video camera instead of a normal camera in an underwater housing so that it would be easier to create still clear shots later on. However during my experimentation i like the idea of filming more than creating the still images because i felt that a moving object underwater was more interesting thasn a still one. For example the movement material creates underwater was interesting to me. I realised when i was creating my still shots from my film that the contrasting on the photos were not very strong so I knew that i would have to use photoshop to experiemnt with the contrasting. I want my final photos to have a strong contrast as a lot of the photos i've been looking at have had high contrast and are very eye-catching.
